1 Collection and disposal of used batteries and accumulators
Responsibilities of dealers and suppliers:
Suppliers are obliged to collect free of charge all batteries and accumulators they have sold. Please accept this offer and help us to keep our environment clean.
Responsibilities of customers:
Batteries and accumulators should not be mixed with general household waste. Since 1998 the regulation on batteries and accumulators obliges all natural persons to transfer spent batteries and accumulators generated in their households to a point of sale or to a waste management facility. If you wish to send us batteries or accumulators, be sure the parcel is properly stamped.
Batteries have the symbol and one of these chemical symbols:
- Cd (= battery contains cadmium), - Hg (= battery contains mercury) or - Pb (= battery contains lead).
2 Old electrical and electronic equipment should not be mixed with general household waste
Since March 24th 2006 consumers are not longer allowed to dispose old electrical or electronic equipment in their household trash. This regulation concerns all electrical o electronic equipment, from an electrical toothbrush to a home solarium, from a wash machine to a digital camera, no matter how old they are. Illuminants, fluorescent tubes and energy saving lamps are also affected by this regulation. The devices are collected free of charge by local government. The return is made in collection points, the majority of which are in position to organize a transportation service for the return of the waste from the end-user premises to the collection point. As a rule already existing collection points (e.g. collection points for recyclable materials, collection points for bulky rubbish...).
3 Collection and disposal of packaging and labelling materials
In order to comply with Section 6 of the German regulation on packaging (VerpackV) in terms of the packaging we fill for the first time with products in order to send them to the end customer, our firm has adhered to the collection and disposal system of Landbell AG, Mainz (client number: 4118938), which is used in whole Germany.
